YEP, THAT’S RIGHT!
A bureaucratic decision by the Shire of Irwin has led to the cancellation of the Port Denison drawcard, the Denison Sprint, and inevitably, the Mid-West Show & Shine!
This is a devastating blow to both the motoring and Port Denison communities, which stood to benefit from millions of dollars in economic injection.
Will these events return? Not according to the word on the street. Even if the Shire decides that the event is safe in future years, the dedicated organizers, who have tirelessly championed these events, will likely abandon Port Denison in search of a more welcoming venue.

The community of Dongara/Denison has organized a Coffee and Cars for Sunday the 22nd of September despite the poor decision by the Shire President.
